Project and Contract Management
Project Management
Project Management Fundamentals
Scope, plan, schedule and control a project using methods that work whether or not you hold a certification.
- Duration
- 5 days
- Contact hours
- 30
- Level
- Foundation
- Fee from
- US$995
Overview
This programme covers the core discipline of running a project: defining scope tightly enough to defend it, building a schedule that reflects real dependencies, and controlling change once delivery is underway. Delegates plan a project of their own across the week.
Who should attend
Anyone running projects without formal training, and specialists moving into a project role.
What you will be able to do
- Define scope in terms specific enough to identify a change when one occurs.
- Build a schedule from dependencies rather than from wishful duration.
- Identify and quantify the risks that would actually derail delivery.
- Control change without freezing the project or letting it drift.
How it is taught
Short input, then work, across 5 days of roughly 6 teaching hours each. Exercises run on situations delegates bring rather than on a case study written for a different organisation. Cohorts are capped so that everybody is asked something.
Available as classroom, live online, in house, hybrid.

Certificate
A GATI certificate recording what was attended, issued after the programme has run and attendance has been taken. Attending at least 80 per cent of the days earns a certificate of completion; attending less earns a certificate of attendance stating exactly what was attended. Every certificate carries a code that anybody can check against GATI's own record.
It records participation. and GATI does not claim one it does not hold.
