Terms
The basis on which we work.
Written to be read. If something here is unclear, ask before you book rather than after.
01Who you are contracting with
Global Axis Training (Pty) Ltd is a training provider established in South Africa, trading from 250 Beyers Naude Drive, Rustenburg, North West, 2999, South Africa. A booking is an agreement with that business, and these terms and any booking made under them are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
02Using this website
The catalogue is published so you can find a programme that fits. Programme content, dates and fees may change, and the version shown when you book is the one that applies.
03Booking and confirmation
A request for a place is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed when GATI confirms it in writing, at which point the fee, the dates and the joining arrangements are fixed.
04Fees
Published fees are per delegate and cover tuition, programme materials and the certificate. Travel, accommodation and visas are arranged by the delegate. Private and in house programmes are quoted instead, because those depend on cohort size, format and location, and a quotation states what is included and holds for the period written on it.
05Changes and cancellation
Notice is counted in calendar days before the first day of the programme and must be given in writing. 14 days or more before the programme starts: 100 per cent refund, or a transfer to another date. 7 to 13 days before: 50 per cent refund, or a transfer to another date. fewer than 7 days before: no refund, or a transfer to another date. A delegate may be replaced by a colleague at no charge at any time before the programme starts, including after the refund window has closed. Where a visa is refused and the refusal is provided in writing, the fee is refunded in full or transferred at no charge. If GATI reschedules or cancels, which happens where a trainer or venue becomes unavailable, you are offered an alternative date or a full refund, with at least 14 days' notice. Refunds are paid to the original payer within 14 days. Travel, accommodation and visa costs are arranged and paid for by the delegate and are not refundable by GATI.
06Certificates
Attendance is taken, and what is issued follows from it. Attending at least 80 per cent of the days earns a certificate of completion; attending less earns a certificate of attendance, which states exactly what was attended. Every certificate carries a code anybody can check against GATI's record.
07Events outside our control
Some things stop a programme running and are nobody's fault: a venue becoming unavailable, a trainer taken ill, travel or border restrictions, industrial action, or a failure of power or connectivity for an online cohort. Where one of these prevents a programme going ahead, GATI will move it to another date, move it online where the programme can be delivered that way, or refund the fee in full. GATI is not liable for travel, accommodation or visa costs in those circumstances, which is why booking refundable travel is worth the difference.
08Fair access
A place on a GATI programme is open to anybody whose role and experience fit the programme, and nothing else is taken into account. Access requirements asked for at registration are arranged where they can be, discussed openly where they cannot, and shared only with the people arranging the programme.
09Your information
What GATI collects, why, how long it is kept and how to have it removed is set out in the privacy notice rather than summarised here, because a summary of a data protection notice is how the two end up disagreeing. Registration details are used to arrange the programme and to issue the certificate.
10Intellectual property
Programme materials are provided for the delegate's own use. They may be used freely inside the delegate's organisation, but not resold or delivered as training by a third party. Work a delegate brings to a programme remains theirs, and GATI does not reuse it or quote from it without asking.
11Liability
GATI provides training in good faith and to a professional standard. It does not accept liability for commercial decisions taken on the basis of that training, and its liability in connection with a programme is limited to the fee paid for that programme. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12If something goes wrong
Tell GATI first, in writing, and say what you would like done about it. A complaint about a programme is answered by somebody who was not delivering it. If it cannot be settled that way, nothing in these terms prevents either side pursuing the matter elsewhere.
