Financial Risk and Compliance
Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime
Detect and report financial crime risk, and build controls that are proportionate to actual exposure.

- Level
- Intermediate
- Fee from
- US$1,200
Overview
Financial crime controls fail either by generating unmanageable alert volume or by missing the typologies that matter. This programme covers customer risk assessment, monitoring design, investigation and reporting, with emphasis on proportionality and on the judgement involved in escalation.
Who should attend
Compliance officers, financial crime analysts, and staff in regulated firms with reporting obligations.
What you will be able to do
- Assess customer and product risk in a way that drives differentiated treatment.
- Design monitoring that detects typologies rather than generating volume.
- Investigate an alert to a defensible conclusion.
- Decide on escalation and reporting obligations.
How it is taught
Short input, then work, across 3 days of roughly 6 teaching hours each. Exercises run on situations delegates bring rather than on a case study written for a different organisation. Cohorts are capped so that everybody is asked something.
Available as classroom, live online, in house.

Certificate
A GATI certificate recording what was attended, issued after the programme has run and attendance has been taken. Attending at least 80 per cent of the days earns a certificate of completion; attending less earns a certificate of attendance stating exactly what was attended. Every certificate carries a code that anybody can check against GATI's own record.
It records participation. and GATI does not claim one it does not hold.
